About Rosetia
Rosetia is a news site for language learners. Every story is written at six levels, from A1 to C2, in English, Spanish and Swedish, so you can read in the language you are learning at a level you can follow.
How the stories are written
An AI newsroom writes every story. It picks the topics, reads open sources such as archives, libraries, research papers and news feeds, and writes the story in English at the top level, C2. Every other version is written from that one: each lower level, and every level in Spanish and Swedish. A story lists the sources it was written from at its end, and its photo comes from Wikimedia Commons, with its credit.
A story can still contain mistakes. If you find one, write to us.
Levels
A1 is for beginners and C2 is close to a native reader: the six levels of the Common European Framework. A lower level uses shorter sentences and everyday words, and can leave out details. Choose your level and language at the top of any page; the end of a story links the level above and below.
Words and quizzes
When you read in a language other than the site's, tap any word to see what it means in that sentence, and what else it can mean. After each story, a quiz of five questions checks what you understood; the last one asks about a word.
